Write Around the World is right around the corner and we are getting ready for it. This is the most amazing event and our biggest fund raiser, supporting our scholarships for training for underserved. populations and those facing critical financial hardships. For the last three years WAW allowed us to award more than $15,000.00 in scholarships each year.
More important, this event is fun and astonishing. You amazing facilitators fill up the month’s calendars with such diverse writing opportunities, which are enjoyed by hundreds of writers, many who are now Writer Members of AWA. The web links to sign up to offer a workshop or two or three or… are available NOW. Soon the calendar will be up for writers to begin to sign up. The FAQ sessions are being readied and Sue Reynolds is offering her workshop to help affiliates design and prep new workshops for Write Around the World and beyond – it’s an amazing workshop keep an eye out.
If you are a new affiliate, WAW is a great place to test your wings. We have the ability to connect you to our Buddy Program – an AWA friend who can help you through the process and provide feedback after. If you haven’t done a workshop in a while WAW is the perfect place to get back in the game. If you have an innovative workshop you’ve so wanted to try out, this is the time and place with a willing audience of writers out there chomping at the bit to find something AWA and new.
