At the most recent Water Cooler (December 7th), we weren’t really talking of holiday season gifts. Instead, taking our cue from this year’s AWA Online Retreat, we simply tried to root our discussion within: What might happen if we discuss AWA and our writing workshop leading through the lens of “writing into a gift economy,” instead of “writing as product?”
